NEW Michael Jackson THRILLER project revealed by John Landis
Michael Jackson fans are to be thrilled all over again with a ‘spectacular’ new top secret Thriller project, original director John Landis has revealed during a visit to Sheffield. The Hollywood legend says he has just finished work on it but details won’t be out until next year.
It is believed it may be in celebration of the groundbreaking video’s forthcoming 35th anniversary. Landis directed, co-wrote and produced what is acclaimed as the greatest ever music video, which for the first time merged music and film, after Jackson was impressed by his work with special effects genius Rick Baker on horror comedy American Werewolf In London.
The director, whose other blockbusters include The Blues Brothers, Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop III and National Lampoon’s Animal House, was a special guest speaker at Sheffield Hallam University promoting the eighth annual Celluloid Screams Horror Film Festival, which takes place at The Showroom Cinema, fron October 21 to 23.In an exclusive chat before his talk – watch the video here online – the 66-year-old revealed: “I can tell you something about Thriller that you are going to find out about in 2017. I just finished that and it’s pretty spectacular.
“It’s a surprise. It involves’s Michael Jackson’s Thriller.”I’d tell you more but the Michael Jackson estate would kill me.”
The 13-minute Thriller video helped the album to sell 65 million copies and itself sold nine million copies when it was release on VHS tape in 1983.

I fan di Michael Jackson sono entusiasti per uno 'spettacolare' nuovo progetto top secret di 'Thriller', rivelato dal regista originale John Landis durante una visita a Sheffield. La leggenda di Hollywood dice che ha appena finito di lavorarci ma i dettagli non saranno rivelati fino al prossimo anno.
Si ritiene possa essere in occasione del prossimo 35° anniversario del video. Landis ha diretto, co-sceneggiato e prodotto quello che viene acclamato come il più grande video musicale di sempre e dove per la prima volta si sono fusi la musica e il cinema, dopo che Jackson rimase colpito dal suo lavoro e dagli effetti speciali di Rick Baker nella commedia horror “Un lupo mannaro Americano a Londra”.

In una chat esclusiva prima del suo discorso, Landis ha rivelato: "posso dirvi qualcosa su 'Thriller' che scoprirete nel 2017. Ho appena finito di lavorarci ed è abbastanza spettacolare.
E' una sorpresa. Mi piacerebbe dirvi di più, ma la tenuta di Michael Jackson mi ucciderebbe".
Il video di 13 minuti di 'Thriller' ha aiutato a vendere 65 milioni di copie dell'album e nove milioni di copie quando è uscito su nastro VHS nel 1983.
