È morto Rod Temperton, fu autore delle hit di Michael Jackson
Addio a Rod Temperton. L'autore e produttore britannico si è spento all'età di 66 anni la scorsa settimana - ma la notizia è stata data solamente oggi - dopo una breve battaglia con un male incurabile.
Nel corso della sua carriera come autore, Temperton ha firmato diversi brani poi portati al successo da Michael Jackson e contenuti nei dischi-capolavoro del Re del Pop, "Off the Wall" e "Thriller": da "Rock with you" a "Off the Wall", passando per "Baby be mine", "The lady in my life" e la stessa "Thriller".
Michael Jackson incise anche la sua "Someone in the dark" per la colonna sonora del film "E.T. l'extra-terrestre". Oltre a scrivere canzoni per Jackson, Temperton firmò anche successi per Donna Summer ("Love is in control") e Aretha Franklin ("Livin' in the streets"), collaborando anche con Anita Baker, The Brothers Johnson, George Benson, Herbie Jancock, James Ingram e lo storico produttore di Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones.
