Michael Jackson Estate & Paul Anka -- Sued Over 'This Is It' for $24 MILLION
A music producer claims he's owed at least $24 MILLION for his work on the Paul Anka/Michael Jackson collaboration "This Is it" -- and now, he's suing Anka and the MJ Estate for the money.
The producer -- named Michael Jonzun -- filed the lawsuit in Massachusetts federal court, claiming he helped remake Paul and MJ's 1983 song "I Never Heard" ... into what eventually became MJ's 2009 song "This Is It."
According to the lawsuit, Jonzun owns one-third of "This Is It" but he never got paid his share of the song's proceeds -- so he's suing.
Paul Anka tells TMZ, he has never even heard the name Michael Jonzun before today -- and any claims Jonzun owns a portion of "This Is It" are "BS."

Secondo la querela presentata presso la corte federale del Massachusetts, Jonzun possiede un terzo di "This Is It", ma non ha mai ricevuto la sua parte dei proventi della canzone ed è per questo che li ha citati in giudizio.
Paul Anka riferisce a TMZ di non aver mai sentito il nome di Michael Jonzun prima di oggi e che la sua affermazione di essere proprietario di una parte della canzone "This Is It" è solo ' spazzatura '.

Victory From Beyond The Grave! Michael Jackson Wins $24M ‘This Is It’ Lawsuit
It’s a good day for Michael Jackson, even though he’s still dead. RadarOnline.com has learned that the music legend just scored a massive legal victory from beyond the grave, as a federal court judge has dismissed a $24million lawsuit brought against Jackson by music producer Michael Jonzun.
Jonzun filed the lawsuit in Massachusetts in 2012, claiming he was owed $24million for helping draft “This Is It,” a song Jackson did with Paul Anka in 2009. At the time, Anka said he’d never heard of Jonzun, and that his claims were “BS.” Apparently, the judge agreed.

According to court documents obtained by Radar, a judge found “The Estate of Michael Jackson cannot be sued” because it “is not a legal entity capable of being sued, and therefore the complaint must be dismissed.”
The judge also dismissed Jonzun’s claims against Anka and AEG Live because he filed in Massachusetts and has “not demonstrated that the Defendants purposely availed themselves of the privilege of conducting activities in Massachusetts,” according to the judgment, noting that “This Is It” was likely sold in several other states as well.
Finally, the judge called Jonzun to task for a “repeated failure to comply with the service rules,” according to the documents, including filing his motion for extension late, not filing a supporting affidavit with his motion, and failing to serve all the defendants.
As such, the judge dismissed the entire case on March 24.

E ' una buona giornata per Michael Jackson , anche se è ancora morto . RadarOnline.com ha appreso che la leggenda della musica ha ottenuto una schiacciante vittoria legale dall'oltretomba , perchè un giudice della corte federale ha respinto una causa intenta contro Jackson, per 24 milioni di dollari dal produttore musicale Michael Jonzun .
Jonzun aveva presentato la querela in Massachusetts nel 2012 , affermando di essere in credito di ben 24 milioni di dollari per aver partecipato alla canzone "This Is It ", realizzata da Jackson e Paul Anka nel 2009(?????) . All'epoca , Anka affermò di non aver mai sentito parlare di Jonzun , e che le sue affermazioni era false. " A quanto pare, il giudice sembra essere daccordo.
Secondo la documentazione ottenuta , un giudice ha riconosciuto che la "Michael Jackson's Estate non può essere citata in giudizio ", perché "non è un soggetto giuridico , e pertanto la querela deve essere respinta . "
Il giudice ha anche respinto le pretese di Jonzun contro Anka e AEG Live depositate nel Massachusetts per cui " i Convenuti non sono riusciti a dimostrare che proprio in Massachusetts si siano svolte determinate attività ", secondo la sentenza , rilevando quindi che "This Is It " è venduto anche in ben altri stati, e pertanto non è rilevante.
Infine , il giudice ha richiamato lo stesso Jonzun ,per la ripetuta omissione nel " rispettare le regole ", secondo i documenti , compreso il ritardo sul deposito effettuato per la richiesta di una proroga , non riuscendo pertanto a soddisfare le richieste dei difensori.
Per cui il giudice ha respinto l'intera causa il 24 marzo .
