Quando alcuni fan che hanno assistito ai concerti di Michael al Madison Square Garden il 7 e il 10 settembre 2001, sono rimasti bloccati a New York, dopo che il traffico aereo fu bloccato dopo il 9/11, Michael gli ha assegnato una guardia del corpo, pagato per molti di loro la permanenza al Helmsley Palace Hotel, noleggiato un autobus per portarli a fare shopping e ha coperto tutte le spese fino a quando non sono potuti tornare a casa.
