June 13 2005, the day Michael Jackson was Acquitted!
Acquitted, but the damage is irreparable. Is it?
Today, 10 years ago, the words we were so eager to hear, were pronounced: “NOT GUILTY”.
At the same time the jury acquits Michael of all 14 charges, the media suddenly lost all interest. Why? This was good news! But apparently, it was not scandalous enough to report about a mega star who was clearly innocent.
The trial lasted from January to June 2005. During the trial, a lot has been said in that courtroom. Especially, the cross examinations that completely undermined the prosecution’s witnesses. This didn’t reached the news. All of what has been said proved Michael’s innocence, but of course, for the media that wasn’t interesting enough. Instead, they only reported about the lurid allegations and, of course, Michael’s pyjamas. If they had done their job as they should have, the whole world would know the truth. Michael is innocent!
Five years ago Charles Thomson wrote an article about the media being out of control. He stated that the trial that was relayed to us didn’t even resemble the trial that was going on inside the courtroom. Therefor the media has to take its responsibility and perhaps they can follow Thomson’s example and do it right this time. Recently the courtroom dismissed the case of Wade Robson because he waited too long to file the legal action. This means that from this point on there will be no more legal grounds to file claims from anyone who ‘suddenly’ remembers being molested. Michael is innocent and will stay that forever.
Everybody has the right to know the Michael as he really was. An unselfish, sincere, warm-hearted, sweet man who is innocent.

Assolto, ma il danno è irreparabile. Lo è?
Oggi, 10 anni fa, le parole che eravamo ansiosi di sentire, sono state pronunciate: "NON COLPEVOLE".
Nello stesso momento che la giuria assolve Michael di tutte le 14 imputazioni, i media improvvisamente perdono ogni interesse. Perché? Questa era una buona notizia! Ma a quanto pare, non era abbastanza scandalosa da riferire su una mega star che era chiaramente innocente.
Il processo è durato da gennaio a giugno del 2005. Durante il processo, molto è stato detto in quell'aula. In particolare, gli esami incrociati che hanno minato completamente i testimoni dell'accusa. Ma questo non ha raggiunto i media. Tutto ciò che è stato detto ha dimostrato l'innocenza di Michael, ma, naturalmente, per i media non era abbastanza interessante. Invece, hanno segnalato solo le accuse sensazionaliste e, naturalmente, il pigiama di Michael. Se avessero fatto il loro lavoro come avrebbero dovuto, tutto il mondo avrebbe saputo la verità. Michael è innocente!
Cinque anni fa, Charles Thomson ha scritto un articolo sui media fuori controllo. Egli ha dichiarato che il processo che hanno trasmesso non assomigliava a quello che stava succedendo all'interno del tribunale. Perciò i media devono assumersi le proprie responsabilità e forse seguire l'esempio di Thomson e farlo bene questa volta.
Recentemente l'aula ha respinto il caso di Wade Robson, perché ha aspettato troppo tempo per intentare un'azione legale. Ciò significa che da questo punto in poi non ci saranno più motivi legali per depositare reclami da chiunque 'improvvisamente' ricorda di essere stato molestato. Michael è innocente e rimarrà tale per sempre.
Ognuno ha il diritto di conoscere Michael com'era veramente. Un disinteressato, sincero, affettuoso, dolce uomo che è innocente.
