One Direction have hired Michael Jackson's former bodyguard.
Alberto Alvarez worked as the singer's personal minder at the time of his death in 2009.
His testimony about what happened on the day of Jackson's death was a major factor in the imprisonment of Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray last year. However, Alvarez was sacked by the Jackson family after the trial came to an end in November.
Alvarez has now been appointed as part of the team that will look after the British boyband during their 2013 world tour in June.
"I'm really excited. They're a great group of young men and they have great talent," he told The Mirror. "I am proud to work for them. Working for the boys has pulled me through a terrible time. It really helped me cope with what happened three years ago when Michael died."
Speaking about his time since Jackson's death, he said: "I've been through the mill but I am coming out the other side. I just wanted to get the trial over. Since then I have felt a lot better.
"The events of three years ago are less heavy on my mind. They won't ever go away but I do feel better. I started working as a bodyguard again last year.
"And working for One Direction - the biggest boyband in the world - is so exciting. I did some work for them in California last year and they liked me."
He added: "Now every time they are here I work with them. The other week I was with Zayn Malik at the Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
"A few months back I spent time with Louis Tomlinson and his girlfriend.

Alvarez ha detto al Mirror Domenica: "Sono davvero emozionato. Sono un grande gruppo di giovani e hanno grande talento.
"Sono orgoglioso di lavorare per loro. Lavorare con i ragazzi mi ha fatto superare un momento terribile.
"Mi hanno davvero aiutato a far fronte a quello che è successo tre anni fa, quando Michael è morto."
Discutendo su quanto è successo dopo la morte di Jackson ha riferito:
"Ho passato quel momento, ora sto dall'altra parte. Volevo solo che il processo facesse giustizia. Da allora mi sono sentito molto meglio.
"Gli eventi di tre anni fa, sono meno pesanti nella mia mente. Non potranno mai andarsene via, ma ora mi sento meglio. Ho iniziato a lavorare come guardia del corpo di nuovo l'anno scorso.
"E lavorare per gli One Direction la più grande boyband del mondo è così eccitante. Ho fatto qualche lavoro per loro in California l'anno scorso e mi è piaciuto. "
Ha aggiunto: "Ora, ogni volta che sono qui lavoro con loro. L'altra settimana ero con Zayn Malik al Video Music Awards a Los Angeles.
"Alcuni mesi fa ho passato del tempo con Louis Tomlinson e la sua ragazza e stavano parlando di me che li accompagnerò nel loro grande tour."
