Ci sono quelli che trovano impossibile credere che una persona potrebbe dedicare la sua vita all'amore e alla guarigione. Il cinismo e il basso livello di immaginazione rendono ciechi su ciò che assomiglia ad un amore puro. Nancy Grace ha avuto l'audacia di affermare che chiunque voglia passare cosi tanto tempo con i bambini potrebbe solo desiderare sesso.
Per quanto incredibile possa sembrare, molte persone sono d'accordo. Coloro che si rifanno una vita nei talk show hanno trasformato la vita di Michael in un cocktail di battute. Molti hanno creato le loro carriere attaccando verbalmente Michael. Ma, i più pericolosi fra tutti sono quelli che vogliono soldi. Faranno di tutto, diranno qualunque cosa, e infine, venderanno l'anima al diavolo per ottenerli.
Michael era una persona che credeva che la magia e la meraviglia dell'infanzia fossero fondamentali nell'intera vita di una persona. Poichè ha lavorato dall'età di 5 anni, non ha avuto nessuna possibilità di vivere un'infanzia normale. Infatti, ha passato tutta la vita guadagnando soldi per sostenere la sua famiglia. Ha assunto molto seriamente questa responsabilità. Ma, rendendosi anche conto che qualcosa di molto importante gli mancava.
Quando divenne adulto continuò a dare un significato all'infanzia, al gioco e all'innocenza inerente a tutto questo. Ma, non mirava solo alla sua mancata infanzia, lui era seriamente preoccupato per i bambini, punto.
Oltre al suo desiderio di offrire ai bambini bisognosi e gravemente malati un'oasi di gioia......e credeva inoltre fermamente che gli adulti possano riscoprire il bambino che è dentro di loro. Gli adulti che sono arrivati al Neverland Valley Ranch, sono stati trasportati in un mondo che ha ridato loro la magia.
Non ho ancora letto un resoconto di un adulto che non abbia trovato Neverland magica....come nessun posto dove erano mai stati prima. Lui ha aperto la sua casa ai fans di tutto il mondo perchè voleva si divertissero......ringraziarli per tutto l'amore e il sostegno che gli avevano dimostrato in tutta la sua carriera.
Una cosa che i Media non riescono a comprendere è che i fans di Michael Jackson sono la sua famiglia. La dedizione è personale. Quando si osserva il mondo con cinismo e un prisma molto limitato, non si è in grado di capire quale genere di devozione. Il progetto di Michael su Neverland era sempre per i bambini. Michael era convinto che la magia, il gioco e la gioia guariscano. Lui credeva che le esperienze divertenti dei bambini morenti e dei bambini svantaggiati avrebbero reso le loro vite migliori, e persino prolungato la vita di coloro che lottavano contro il cancro ed altre malattie. La sua intera casa era aperta ad amici, parenti e bambini. Non è difficile da capire. Proveniva da una grande famiglia con cui ha condiviso una piccola casa......gente dappertutto.....ha condiviso una camera da letto con 5 fratelli. Questo è stato normale per lui.
Un altro concetto che i Media non riescono a comprendere è che Michael, semplicemente amava la gente. Era un grande ascoltatore, era curioso, e voleva sapere tutto sul cammino della vita di ognuno. Ogni Venerdì sera, ospitava ad una splendida cena tutte le persone che lavoravano con lui e le loro famiglie. C'era sempre gente nell'enorme camera da letto di Michael, guardavano (film) da uno schermo gigante, mangiavano popcorn, giocavano ai video games. Tra queste persone era inclusa Elizabeth Taylor. Credo che si debba pensare alle stanze di Michael come ad un dormitorio del college, o pensare a come sia stato quando lui e i suoi fratelli erano in viaggio e facevano casotto nelle camere d'albergo. Cosi è come Michael è cresciuto.
Purtroppo, i pigiama party, sono stati definiti dai Media qualcosa che riguardi il sesso. Ho il pregio di riuscire a comprendere i pigiama party di Michael, perchè quando ero bambina ho dormito con tanti zii che non avevo mai conosciuto.....avevamo solo una camera da letto, e ho dovuto condividere il mio letto. Posso dirvi, che questo non riguardava il sesso. Le camere da letto di Michael in tour sono state usate per incontrare i fan. Michael Jackson ha viaggiato anni della sua vita. I suoi spazi personali erano aperti a tutti, dal personale della sicurezza alla sua famiglia, ai suoi fans. Che erano la sua vita. Perchè è cosi difficile da capire?

There are those who find it impossible to believe that a person could dedicate their lives to love and healing. The cynical and low-ceiling imaginations are blind to what a pure love looks like. Nancy Grace had the audacity to say that anyone who wants to spend so much time with children could only want sex.
As incredible as that sounds, many people agree. Those who make their living marginalizing and otherizing on talk shows have turned Michael’s life into a cocktail joke. Many have made their careers on Michael bashing. But, the most dangerous of all are those who want money. They will do anything, say anything and ultimately sell their souls to the devil to get it.
Michael was a person who believed that the magic and wonder of childhood was critical to a person’s entire lifetime. Since he worked from the age of 5, he had no opportunity to have a normal childhood. In fact, he spent his entire life earning money to support his family. He took that responsibility very seriously. But, he also realized that he missed something very important.
When he became an adult, he continued to value childhood, play and the innocence inherent in all of that. But, he wasn’t just focused on his own lack of childhood. He was gravely concerned for children, period.
In addition to his desire to provide a haven of joy for children of need and critically-ill children…he also passionately believed in adults rediscovering the child that was inside of them. Adults who came to Neverland Valley Ranch were transported into a world that gave magic back to them.
I have yet to read an account of an ADULT that didn’t find Neverland magical…like no place they had ever been before. He opened his home to Fans from all over the world because he wanted them to have a great time…to thank them for all the love and support they had given him his entire career.
One thing the media cannot comprehend is that MICHAEL JACKSON’S FANS ARE FAMILY. The devotion is PERSONAL. When you look at the world through cynicism and a very narrow prism, you are not capable of understanding that kind of devotion. Michael’s plan for Neverland was always about children. (In Search of Neverland – Gloria Rhoads Berlin) Michael was of the belief that magic and play and joy heals. He believed that the experiences enjoyed by dying children and children that didn’t have advantages in life would make their lives better and even prolong life for those who were struggling with cancer and other diseases. His entire house was open to friends and family and welcome to neverlandchildren. It isn’t difficult to understand.
He came from a big family who shared a tiny house…people everywhere…shared a bedroom with 5 brothers. This was normal for him. Another concept the media cannot comprehend is that Michael simply LOVED PEOPLE. He was a great listener, he was curious and wanted to know everything about everyone’s life’s journey. Every Friday night, he hosted a huge dinner for all the people he worked with, and their families. (In the Studio – Bruce Swedien). There were always people in Michael’s enormous bedroom suite, watching a giant screen, eating popcorn, playing games. Those people included Elizabeth Taylor. I guess you have to think of Michael’s rooms as a college dorm…or think of it as it would have been when he and his brothers were on the road and were goofing off in hotel rooms. This was just how Michael grew up.
Unfortunately, sleepovers were defined by the media as coversex. I do have the advantage of being able to understand Michael’s sleepovers because when I was a little girl, I slept with so many aunts that I had never known…we had only one bedroom and I had to share my bed. I can tell you THIS WAS NOT ABOUT SEX. Michael’s bedrooms on the road were used to meet with fans. Michael Jackson was on the road years of his life. His personal space was open to everyone from staff to security to family to fans. THAT WAS HIS LIFE. Why is that so hard to understand?

Sometimes I guess it`s also a matter of whether some people really want to understand, or if they find more joy in criticize and harassing him..
