Watch: Irish artists team up on cover of Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone' for Pieta House
A host of Irish musicians and bands have teamed up to record a cover of Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone' for Pieta House.
Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Mary Byrne, Taken, Heroes in Hiding, Dublin Gospel Choir and more have recorded the song to raise both money for and awareness of the charity, which has helped almost 28,000 people rebuild their lives since 2006 and has treated approximately 5,000 people in each of the last three years. Pieta House offers counselling to people experiencing suicidal ideation and people who engage in self-harm and, as of this year, it also offers suicide bereavement counselling and operates the free 24-hour 1800 247 247 suicide helpline.
Ryan O'Shaughnessy said that he got involved "..because I feel it’s important for Irish people to discuss mental health. It’s important to give what you can to help those who need it. That’s what this single is all about”.

Un gruppo di musicisti e band irlandesi si sono riuniti per registrare una cover di Michael Jackson, "You are not Alone", a beneficio della 'Pieta House'.
Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Mary Byrne, Taken, Heroes in Hiding, Dublin Gospel Choir e altri hanno registrato il tema a beneficio e visibilità della fondazione, che dal 2006 ha aiutato a quasi 28.000 persone a ricostruire la loro vita .... 'Pieta House' offre aiuto a persone con pensieri suicidi e tendenti al autolesionismo, e da quest'anno offre anche supporto alle famiglie colpite dal lutto e gestisce un numero telefonico gratuito (suicide helpline) 24 ore su 24: 1800 247 247.
Ryan O'Shaughnessy dice che si è unito all'inizativa "perché sente che è importante che la società irlandese parli della salute mentale.
E' importante dare ciò che è possibile per aiutare coloro che ne hanno bisogno ed è di questo di cui parla la canzone".
