You Heard What The Doctor Said
Dr. Shepherd is currently fronting a tabloid television series entitled “Autopsy: The Last Hours Of…” It is a show in which he gets paid to dissect the minutiae of the postmortems of famous dead people. It is surely the apex of televisual entertainment. The first episode, which aired last week, concerned one Michael Jackson.
Dr. Shepherd’s previous clients include Rachel Nickell, MI6 Spy Gareth Williams, television presenter Jill Dando and UK victims of 9/11. He was also the forensic pathological expert for the Bloody Sunday Inquiry and the Inquiry and Inquest into the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Al Fayed. Oh, and Dr. David Kelly.
In short, his client-list is a conspiracy theorist’s wet dream.
Let’s begin with Dr. Shepherd contradicting himself by initially stating that Michael was in good anatomical health, before concluding that he was surprised that Michael lived as long as he did. It’s a contradiction that diffuses into the greater picture of the This Is It rehearsals: the blind could see that he was not well enough to perform, but, apart from some minor lung inflammation there was nothing else wrong with him. The presence of osteoarthritis in a fifty year old dancer is by no means unusual; and an enlarged non-malignant prostate is virtually standard, it’s so prevalent. The documentary didn’t confirm MJ was very sick. In fact, the autopsy confirmed that he was actually remarkably healthy for a fifty year old male. The contradictions come as a result of Michael’s habitual drug use. That’s habitual drug use, rather than addiction. Michael died because an unscrupulous doctor pumped him full of medication.
The documentary told us that Michael had a problem with Demerol. Not quite the scoop, however, as Michael had told us that himself twenty-one years ago, then reminded us again in 1997 when he gently sang the words in a song he entitled Morphine, “Demerol, Demerol, oh God he’s taking Demerol” whilst the bleeps and beeps of medical equipment could be heard in the background, before the barked chorus of “He’s takin’ Morphine!” was unleashed, incorporating the sound of the machinations of equipment used to help people breathe. The album this song was featured on, Blood On The Dancefloor, sold six million copies and is the biggest selling remix album of all time. Michael’s drug habit was no secret.
Though Michael effused a childlike innocence, as with all superheroes, there existed the alter ego. The self-mutilating manifestation of the anger with himself for forever failing to scale the fortress of perfectionism that was instilled in him during his youth. Michael was an anarchic utopian; he was like a river: when peaceable, one could sit by him, close your eyes, relax and be bewitched by his chortling ruminations; yet, when you encounter the spontaneous rage of his waterfall, you heard his white noise, his turbid despair. Both occur in his music: a spectrum of sadness; a many-colour melancholy of melodies that range from the placid to the brutal. Both are enigmatic. Both are beautiful. It is never more prominent than in the song Morphine.
Dr. Shepherd claimed that Michael’s nose was caved in on one side, with the bridge missing. However, there is no mention of this anywhere in the autopsy report. All it notes, on Page 4 (2), is that “There are scars at the lateral border of the alae nasi: 3/5 inch in length on the right and 5/8 inch on the left.” That is, on the sides of the nostrils. The hyperbole surrounding Michael’s nose continues apace in death. (When highlighting Michael’s insecurities with his nose, the documentary showed a picture that purported to be Michael as a youth, when in fact it was his brother – that’s the standard of fact-checking we’re dealing with here.)
This programme was an unnecessary and cruel addition to the Michael Jackson documentary canon. It was argued by some fans that the presentation of facts would be beneficial to Michael, but a documentary consisting of grainy reconstructions featuring a lookalike rolling around in a bed begging for Propofol was never going to be anything else other than defamatory. Regardless of the facts or inaccuracies, the inevitable use of sensationalism or the employment of irrelevant talking heads such as Ian Halperin and Jason Pfeiffer. Indeed, the very idea of a programme focussing on the postmortem of Michael Jackson is enough to chill many fans to the bone. It’s a damning indictment of what passes for entertainment.
The one positive that emerged from the documentary, was of creating awareness of Michael’s lung problems, likely caused by lupus. It explains his inability to consistently sing live on two-year long world tours. These days, there is a frightening ubiquity of post-Disney starlets that employ auto-tune and playback with the cynical intent of selling capitalist standards of sexual imagery to children. At least when Michael was being forced to mime due to his lung condition, he was selling a message of peace. And dancing a fair bit, too (a spectacle alone worth the entrance fee). All of this being done whilst suffering with various extreme physical pains acquired as a result of dedicating his life to entertaining us, and attempting to fulfil his mission to heal the world.
One of the samples Michael used in the song Morphine is a piece of dialogue from the film, The Elephant Man. You hear Merrick’s nurse admonishing him by saying, “Now you heard what the doctor said.” But as this documentary just goes to show, the doctor’s words should not always be adhered to.

Il Dr. Shepherd sta affrontando, una serie di casi televisivi dal titolo " Autopsia : le ultime ore di ... " Si tratta di uno show, nel quale lo pagano per analizzare nei minuziosi dettagli le autopsie di morti famose . Rappresenta sicuramente , l'apoteosi dell'intrattenimento televisivo( n.d.r l'espressione è palesemente ironica) . Il primo episodio , andato in onda la scorsa settimana , riguardava ..Michael Jackson .
Parte dei clienti precedenti del dottor Shepherd sono stati, Rachel Nickell( un caso del 1993, di una modella che venne accoltellata ) , l'agente segreto della Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), Gareth Williams(novembre del 2013, il corpo di Gareth venne trovato dentro una sacca sportiva, il ritrovamento del corpo , secondo il coroner faceva risalire la morte della vittima a circa 3 anni prima nel 2010) , il caso della presentatrice televisiva,Jill Dando( un omicidio irrisolto dell'aprile del 1999), e le vittime britanniche rimaste coinvolte nel crollo delle Twin Towers dell'11 settembre. Fra gli ospiti, l'esperto patologo forense, noto per lo show "Inchiesta su una Domenica di Sangue" e l' inchiesta sulla morte della principessa del Galles, Diana , e Dodi Al Fayed . Oh , e il dottor David Kelly .
In breve , la scaletta, è il sogno agognato da ogni teorico della cospirazione.
Cominciamo ad analizzare, come e da subito, il Dr. Shepherd ,contraddice se stesso, inizialmente affermando che Michael era anatomicamente in un ottimo stato di salute , prima di concludersi sorpreso, di come Michael fosse riuscito a vivere così a lungo . E ' una contraddizione che striscia lentamente in un più ampio quadro che coinvolge le prove del This Is It : i ciechi erano in grado di vedere che non era abbastanza in forma per potersi esibire, ma , a parte qualche infiammazione polmonare lieve, non c'era niente di particolarmente grave nel suo stato di salute . L'artrosi, in un ballerino di 50 anni di età , non è sicuramente un fatto insolito , e una prostata, non maligna, è praticamente di serie , o comunque molto diffusa . Il documentario quindi non conferma che MJ fosse molto malato . E, l'autopsia, sostiene che in realtà fosse particolarmente in buona salute per essere un uomo di 50 anni . Pertanto le contraddizioni, non possono che essere frutto del consumo abituale di droghe ( farmaci) di Michael . Uso abituale piuttosto che dipendenza . Michael è morto perché un medico senza scrupoli , lo ha riempito di farmaci.
Il documentario ci dice anche che Michael aveva un problema con il Demerol . Non propriamente uno scoop , dato che Michael ce lo aveva detto 21 anni prima, per poi ricordarcelo ancora una volta nel 1997, cantando in una canzone dal titolo Morphine , " Demerol , Demerol , oh Dio sta prendendo il Demerol " mentre il rumore di attrezzature mediche è udibile in sottofondo , prima che il coro esploda con " he's Takin ' Morphine ( sta prendendo la morfina)" , succedendosi al suono di macchinari per la respirazione. La canzone, inclusa nell'album , Blood On The Dancefloor , ha venduto sei milioni di copie ed è l'album di remix, più venduto al mondo. Pertanto la dipendenza dalle droghe di Michael, non era un segreto.
Sebbene Michael fosse dotato di una forte componente di innocenza infantile , come tutti i supereroi , possedeva un alter ego . La manifestazione di un sorta di autolesionismo e rabbia verso se stesso per non essere riuscito a superarsi in una sorta di scalata verso il perfezionismo instillata in lui sin da piccolo . Michael era un utopista anarchico , era come un fiume : quando calmo, ci si poteva fare accogliere , chiudere gli occhi , rilassarsi ed farsi stregare dai suoi intriganti misteri , ma quando si finiva per incontrare la rabbia spontanea della sua cascata, era possibile sentire il rumore forte dell'acqua spumeggiante , la forza della sua torbida disperazione . Entrambi questi aspetti sono riscontrabili nella sua musica : uno spettro di tristezza , una malinconia dalle mille sfaccettature capaci di andare dalla serenità alla brutalità . Entrambe enigmatiche . Entrambe bellissime . Mai così enfatizzate come nella canzone ,Morphine .
Il Dr. Shepherd ha affermato che il naso di Michael aveva ceduto da una parte , mancava dell'arcata( l'ossatura del naso) . Tuttavia , di questo, non c'è menzione nel rapporto dell'autopsia . Tutto ciò che( l'autopsia) rileva , a pagina 4 ( secondo paragrafo), è che " Ci sono cicatrici ai lati del naso : . 2/3 cm di lunghezza a destra e 4/5 cm a sinistra ", cioè sui lati delle narici . L' iperbole(esagerazione) che circonda il naso di Michael prosegue rapidamente nelle conclusioni sulla sua morte . ( E' il momento in cui viene messa in evidenza l'insicurezza di Michael riguardo l'aspetto del suo naso , viene mostrata una foto spacciata per essere Michael da giovane, quando in realtà è quella di suo fratello - che sancisce lo standard di professionalità presente nel programma. )
Questo show , non è stato altro che un aggiuntivo inutile e crudele documentario su Michael Jackson. Alcuni fan , hanno sostenuto che sarebbe stato utile per Michael , ma un documentario realizzato attraverso ricostruzioni di un sosia disteso su un letto che implora il suo Propofol, non può che essere altro che diffamatorio . Indipendentemente dai fatti o dalle inesattezze , l' inevitabile sensazionalismo è la scelta di dare voce a personaggi come Ian Halperin e Jason Pfeiffer . Infatti , l'idea stessa di un programma incentrato sul post-mortem di Michael Jackson è sufficiente per far rabbrividire qualsiasi fan . E 'un atto d'accusa schiacciante di ciò che invece viene spacciato per sensazionalismo.
L'unico aspetto positivo che emerge dal documentario , è quello di creare la consapevolezza sui problemi polmonari di Michael , probabilmente causati dal lupus . Spiega, piuttosto bene, l'ottenuta incapacità di cantare live dopo aver lungamente sforzato la voce in anni di tour. Attualmente, c'è un'ubiquità spaventosa di attricette post-Disney( sta parlando di Miley Cyrus) che utilizzano gestualità e il playback con l'intenzione cinica di aumentare le vendite, sfruttando la redditualità portata dall'uso di immagini sessuali legate all'infanzia.
Quanto meno, quando Michael si trovò costretto a mimare a causa della sua malattia polmonare , cercava di diffondere un messaggio di pace ,e continuando a ballare ( uno spettacolo che anche preso a se stante valeva pienamente il prezzo intero del biglietto ) . Tutto questo, mentre soffriva di dolori fisici fortissimi, concausa dell'aver dedicato tutta la sua vita ad intrattenerci, e nel tentativo di compiere la sua missione : guarire il mondo .
Uno dei modelli che Michael ha utilizzzato nella canzone Morphine è una parte di dialogo dal film , The Elephant Man . Si sente l'infermiera di Merrick che lo rimprovera dicendogli: " Ora hai sentito cosa ha detto il dottore." Ma questo documentario invece, non fa che dimostrare , che le parole del medico non dovrebbero sempre essere ascoltate .

perché complicarsi la vita a metter su dei castelli di sabbia quando raccontare la verità dei fatti richiede molto meno sforzo ed è più sicuro????
Non ho visto il programma, ma dai commenti che ne sono seguiti, questa affermazione di Syl M. racchiude tutto...CITAZIONEQuesto show , non è stato altro che un aggiuntivo inutile e crudele documentario su Michael Jackson.

Friends, below is the transcript of the false autopsy show from British TV on which Susannerb and me have painstakingly worked for the past few days.
I added to the transcript the description of background pictures to give you a better idea of what it’s like. Almost every sentence here requires a comment but I’ve tried to limit myself to a complete minimum which is still a lot, I’m afraid.
The comments come in the form of side notes. The notes for the second part of the transcript will be added later as the potential for them is infinite and I am struggling to choose.
Dr.Richard Shepherd is not as bad as the other participants but there are a couple of questions to him too.

00:00 TV announcers: The singer Michael Jackson is reported to have died from a heart attack. …to the USLA medical center but it appears it was too late… Apparently suffered… He arrived in hospital in a deep coma and died….

Narrator: But by 2009 his personal fortune had all but gone.
SPOILER (click to view)This fabrication was published by the NY Daily on June 30, 2013 and is archived now. It refers to some non-existent FBI files said to be full of “stomach-churning details about the late King of Pop’s seamy past” . The article names Anthony Pellicano as the source of those files.
The truth is that there were NO secret FBI files and Pellicano said about his former client: “I have maintained Michael Jackson’s innocence from the very start, and I still maintain that he is innocent.”
In 2011 the Daily Beast published a table of Pellicano’s clients adding that Pellicano found “damning evidence” against … the Chandlers, the accuser’s family.

Michael Jackson had essentially been a recluse for 12 years, not touring, not really having any huge record releases like his past. He was around $400 million in debt. He also had over 30 lawsuits lined up against him.

James Desborough is a former US editor of the now-defunct News of the World who was arrested by the police in the phone hacking scandal, but released in March 2012 after being for 8 months on bail. Now he says he is looking forward to resuming his career. He works as a freelancer in Los Angeles and London. As part of his services his website lists “reputation management”. Lately he has been focusing on Michael Jackson.

4:15 Narrator: For Jackson there was only one way out.

Narrator: To ease his debt he must perform a grueling schedule of concerts in London. And to ensure his health and fitness he is depending on his personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray. But Jackson would never make an opening night.

4:45 Dr. Shepherd: If you look at the autopsy the first thing we see is the male of approximately 50 years. There are no significant injuries but there are some grazes and abrasions to the center of the chest.

Dr. Shepherd: I don’t think these are significant as the cause of his death, but we do know that he had quite a prolonged and extensive resuscitation [photo of MJ’s naked body] and these injuries are typical of this type of resuscitation.

5: 06 Narrator: Jackson’s life was dogged with moments that were both controversial and bizarre. And the secrets revealed by his autopsy report are no different.

Dr. Shepherd: The autopsy report states that he is black and that is of course correct, but if you look to the body objectively not knowing that it is Michael Jackson it wouldn’t be that clear cut.

5:31 James Desborough: Millions of column inches have been devoted to the subject of Michael’s skin. Was he black? Was he turning white? Was he turning himself white? These are the questions that everyone wanted to know.

5:50 Narrator: Jackson tried to quash the rumors in a TV interview, but the manner of his answers and his body language made few believe him.

Michael: I have a skin disorder that destroys the pigmentation of the skin. It’s something that I cannot help, okay? People make up stories that I don’t like to be who I am and it hurts me.
6:18 Dr. Shepherd: You can see from the autopsy that just as Jackson maintained he did have a skin condition. In the darker areas there are lighter blotches and it appears in these lighter blotches the skin stopped producing pigment.

Narrator: Cells called melanocites produce a dark pigment Melanin that colors the skin, but these cells are absent in the autopsy.
Dr. Shepherd: And without it the skin is pale. That explains Jackson’s appearance and is consistent with the disease called Vitiligo.
6:50 Narrator: So Jackson did have a skin disease but doubt still remained about all the claims he made in the interview.

7:45 Narrator: Klein recommended this lotion to Jackson when they first met. It prevents dark pigment being made in areas unaffected by vitiligo. For half of his life Jackson had been bleaching his skin.

The autopsy report says nothing of the kind and since Dr. Shepherd has never seen the body with his own eyes it can only be a fabrication on his part … or a quotation from one of the AEG medical experts who said at the AEG trial that at some point in time MJ had suffered from this condition.
The only entry in the autopsy report about the nose says that “the oronasal passages are unobstructed. A bandage is present on the tip of the nose” (see the above excerpt)
Narrator: And this all-consuming obsession can be traced back to a single catastrophic event.

“The first [surgery] was to try and reconstruct from some scar tissue and obstruction that had happened with the skin there. It didn’t work out very well and all subsequent attempts were to make it right.“

How could he know about the glue on MJ’s head if it was not mentioned in the autopsy report?
When Karen Faye was cross-examined by Mr. Putnam for AEG she had to reveal that she had fixed Michael’s wig by a special procedure but refused to explain what it was. She actually asked Mr. Putnam not to reveal in public the intimate details she had evidently disclosed to him in her earlier deposition.
Here is an excerpt from Karen Faye’s testimony on June 28, 2013:
Faye: ..the process of his hair took a long time. … I told you last time I didn’t want all the details at this point.
Putnam: OK. ..And that’s why, when it says “estimated five hours, but could be more or less,” you’re talking about five hours… the reason it’s so long we’re talking about is because of how much had to be done?
Faye: Correct.
Putnam: And, again, not going into details. There were certain things that had to be clipped into the scalp?
Faye: More extensive than that, but, yes.
Putnam: I was trying to not give all the details.However since the details about the glue are neither in the autopsy report nor in Karen Faye’s testimony, are we to understand that Dr. Shepherd learned them from the AEG lawyer?
Dr. Shepherd: There’s an area of scarring on the top and back of his head. And this scarring is consistent with the burn.

Filming a Pepsi commercial with his brothers would mark the start of his decline, when a pyrotechnic device set fire to his hair. He suffered severe second and third-degree burns to his scalp which left him needing to wear wigs for the rest of his life.

13:34 Narrator: But behind closed doors the promoters AEG were concerned that Jackson wasn’t up to performing his trademark high-energy routines.

The report says he is 136 pounds in weight and he is 5 foot 9 [inches] and he is tall which gives a BMI of 20,1 which is normal. So though he appears slightly thin he is within the acceptable range. You might expect some furring up of the arteries in a man aged fifty but Michael Jackson had no evidence of this. And his heart was in good condition too, so for a man of his age he was in good shape.
15:15 Narrator: Yet Jackson was clearly in trouble at rehearsals.

Narrator: He was short of breath, stiff and unable to perform the routines he was famous for. In the autopsy Richard Shepherd has found a reason for Jackson’s lackluster performance.
15:34 Dr. Shepherd: Several X-rays were taken of Michael Jackson. They showed he had osteoarthritis in some of his fingers and his spine.
15:42 Narrator: The vertebrae in the spine are cushioned by areas of cartilage. In osteoarthritis the cartilage degenerates and the bones are left unprotected. This places pressure on the joint and in extreme circumstances the bones can grind together.

16:28 Narrator: In 1999 Jackson did suffer an injury to his spine.

Narrator: During a concert in Germany he plunged 50 feet into an orchestra pit. Although he carried on performing he collapsed in agony soon afterwards. Osteoarthritis could explain why he was struggling with movement. But it couldn’t explain why he was struggling to breathe.
17:12 Dr. Shepherd: His organs were in good condition for his age. The exception is his lungs and they were like a battlefield. The lining of the airway showed a lot of damage and both lungs showed wide-spread inflammation and quite extensive scarring. For Michael Jackson it would have made it hard of him to exert himself and he would have fatigued more easily, and that’s the question I would want to ask – What caused all this damage?
17:36 Narrator: A possible explanation is written all over Jackson’s face. In his mid 20s he developed a symmetrical red rash around his cheeks [photos of MJ of the Thriller era with a red rash on his face], a classic symptom of another rare skin disease – Discoid Lupus which causes hair to fall out anywhere on the body and can damage the lips.

18:00 Dr. Shepherd: We can see from the autopsy that Jackson had dark tattoos on his eye-brows and there were tattoos on his eyelids like eyeliners. And he also got tattoos in pink around his lips.

Narrator: The disease leaves skin sensitive to sunlight. And it doesn’t only affect the skin. It can reek havoc across the whole body.

8:55 Dr. Shepherd: A chronic disease would have episodes of remission and recurrence. And the recurrence can be triggered off by a number of things – stress, exertion and lack of sleep.
19:05 Narrator: But is there an alternative explanation for Jackson’s lung damage?

19:12 Narrator: The 25 years and the increasingly unstable and drug-dependent Jackson had been visiting the clinic of dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein.

According to those who worked there these visits had become less and less about his skin.
19:32 Jason Pfieffer, Dr. Klein’s former office-manager: He would be in the office a couple times a week and have very minor procedures done. When he got to the office I would take him in the back door and put him in the procedure room and at that point I go get Dr. Klein’s nurse Ellen and say “Michael is here and he wants a shot”.

Firstly, Michael NEVER asked Klein for a shot of Demerol.
Klein always said it was the drug of HIS choice and MJ never said that he wanted it.
For example, see Klein’s interview with Harvey Levin on November 5, 2009:
Levin: Did he ever ask you for Demerol?
Klein: No.
Levin: He never said, “I want Demerol”?
Klein: No
Levin: There was a lot of talk that Michael would come to you for procedures, not because he necessarily wanted the procedures but he wanted the drugs that would put him under.
Klein: No, because I did the procedures frequently with no anesthesia, I mean, no prior anesthesia.
I wasn’t giving Michael drugs because he was a drug addict, I was giving Michael drugs because the procedures to rebuild his face were very arduous.
9:53 Narrator: On every visit he would receive at least one injection. The syringe was full of Demerol, a powerful medical version of Heroin.

20:07 Jason Pfieffer: Usually the effects were pretty quick. He might pass out, he might be just tired, he might be loopy.

20:20 Jason Pfeiffer: If he was with the kids it would be a little bit of a distraction for him. The kids would usually sit in Dr. Klein’s office. They’d be running and screaming and joking and I’d just say it would be a lot of fun until Michael got really out of it.
20:37 Narrator: As the tour approached Jackson’s requests for these injections became more and more frequent.
20:44 Jason Pfeiffer: He would come in and he would demand to see Dr. Klein quickly and he would want a shot of Demerol as quickly as possible and you could tell that there was something going on.

Secondly, in June the visits to Klein’s office were NOT getting more frequent – they were getting RARER.
Michael went to Klein’s office on June 1, 3, 4, 10, 16 and 22. And with every new visit the doses were getting less and less.
On June 4 Demerol was not used at all and on June 16 and 22 MJ was given only 100ml of it.
The program tells a lie about MJ’s “frequent” use of Demerol in June and specifically on June 18th in an attempt to prove that MJ felt very bad the next day as he was “suffering from Demerol withdrawal”, which real addicts experience several hours after the drug intake.However most of MJ’s visits to Klein’s office were in April and May, and in June 2009 they were once a week only.
And on June 18th Michael did NOT visit Klein, so his bad health on the 19th and in June in general was NOT due to Demerol.

And of course MJ was in a rehab on one occasion only. He simply announced it to the whole world twice – in a statement before treatment and after it in 1993.

So if you would turn up at a rehearsal on it the reality is you would be disorientated, you’d be dizzy, you’d also struggle with your breath as it creates a shortage of breath. Now this is literally the opposite of what’s required when you are performing.
22:27 Narrator: But in just 19 days time Jackson was due to embark on his record-breaking 50-date residency in London.

This excerpt from the May 21, 2013 testimony of Shawn Trell, General Counsel for AEG, should remind James Desborough and some AEG people that Michael’s contract didn’t obligate him to rehearse AT ALL.
His only obligation was to provide a first class tour.
NO tour promoter is allowed to dictate MJ or any other Artist what to do .
Shawn Trell of AEG: “Even the notion of something like that it would be offensive to an artist. No tour promoter or tour producer is dictating when somebody shows up.”
John Meglen of AEG: “It drove Franco crazy that Celine Dion wouldn’t show up for rehearsals. I wasn’t worried about Celine, I was more concerned about Franco and him having a nervous breakdown”.
Randy Phillips, former AEG CEO: “The only requirement an artist had is to deliver a class act show. Enrique Iglesias never showed up to rehearsals in the last tour. I thought it was odd, but Enrique Iglesias showed up in Boston, did an amazing show, got great reviews.”

23:30 Narrator: The promoters issued Jackson an ultimatum – shape up or they will pull the plug. $400 million in debt, for Jackson this was not an option.
23:45 James Desborough: It was clear that this was about the money being on the line. For Michael – he didn’t have a choice. He had to be there or he’d lose his home, his kids would be homeless and he would be in financial ruin.

24:03 Narrator: As this footage shows five days earlier Jackson had been struggling at rehearsals. He seems sluggish and not in control of his body.

Narrator: But the effect of the promoters’ threat was stunning. His next performance was described as ‘electric’ by members of the production team. He was agile, lively and like the Michael Jackson of old.
24:35 James Desborough: Suddenly he makes a miraculous recovery. He gets on stage, he performs 30 to 40 minutes and he is dancing, he is singing and performing in a way which makes them a lot happier.
24:51 Narrator: So how did a 50-year old man with osteoarthritis, lupus, scarred lungs and an addiction to Demerol manage to turn it around?

Narrator: The clue is lying in Jackson’s body. He gets another narcotic.

Just for a start, Ephedrine is NOT a narcotic. Every cough and cold mixture has ephedrine as one of its ingredients.
However its sale is controlled in the US as it can be used as a chemical precursor in the illicit manufacture of narcotics.
It is also a powerful stimulant.
There was no Ephedrine in MJ’s home. The police found Ephedrine only in combination with Caffeine and Aspirin (ECA) in a bottle with 14 pills and no name of doctor or patient on it.Judging by the fact that Ephedrine is not for sale in California but is allowed in Texas (for example) this medication could be easily provided by MURRAY.
Propofol does not leave a patient groggy while benzos do, and Murray needed to counterbalance them as benzos were HIS choice.
Since Ephedrine was found only in MJ’s urine the time span points to it being given in the morning of June 24th.The bottle was found in Conrad Murray’s bag among other medications, so as a very minimum Murray KNEW about Ephedrine and as a maximum he PROCURED and administered it HIMSELF.And ECA is not “yet another drug”. It is the same and only ephedrine that was found in Murray’s bag and in MJ’s body.
Extensive toxicological testing was performed on numerous samples taken from Jackson’s body. In the urine sample it was noted that a drug called ephedrine was present. Ephedrine is similar to the naturally occurring adrenalin in the body. And adrenalin is the hormone that prepares the body for fight or flight.

Dr. Shepherd: When Jackson took ephedrine it would have been to energize himself.
25:35 Narrator: Jackson had turned to yet another drug [photo of MJ’s house]. In his house police discovered tablets of ECA, a powerful stimulant made from caffeine, aspirin and ephedrine.

Narrator: At high levels this drug can trigger a cardiac failure – the ultimate cause of Jackson’s death.

25:57 Dr. Shepherd: Because the ephedrine is present in his urine and not in his blood, it can’t be having an effect on Jackson’s body and so it can’t have contributed to his death.
26:05 Narrator: But the autopsy throws up a further narcotic surprise.
26:11 Dr. Shepherd: The toxicology analysis looked for but didn’t find Demerol and that shows that Jackson hadn’t been taking the drug for some time.
26:20 Narrator: Jackson made it through his make or break rehearsal by loading his body with stimulants and coming off the heroin-like drug Demerol.

Arnold Klein prescribed Zanaflex (a muscle relaxer) and Predmozone that treats allergic disorders, skin conditions, arthritis, lupus, psoriasis and breathing disorders.
And Nurse Cherilyn Lee prescribed only antibiotics (Amoxicillin and Azithromycin).

For the last 2 nights he sent Jackson off to sleep using drugs called benzodiazepines instead. And he administered them in an unusual way.

All this talk about using an intravenous site below the knee to “hide drug abuse” is DISGUSTING.
The autopsy report showed punctures all over MJ’s body, so Dr. Shepherd’s account is completely non-professional, same as Emma Kenny’s “sadness over his hiding the drug habit” is ridiculous and fake.
In his police interview Conrad Murray said that he was simply using a more prominent vein that night:
Dr. Murray: This particular night, the IV was placed on his right or his left leg, but below the knee.
Detective Martinez: Towards the back?
Dr. Murray: Wherever there was a more prominent vein.
31:17 Emma Kenny: When you are actually in the press you have to consider the fact that people are watching you all the time, you’re being observed, and your profile is very important to you. So it is not actually unusual for people to inject in areas like the penis, the groin, under the toenails for example, anything that would distract people around them from seeing that they had an issue.

According to the testimony of Detective Myers the morning Michael died Murray was extremely busy with other things:
At 10:34 – 10:43 am Murray spoke to his personal assistant Stacey Ruggles
The period of 10:44 – 11.06 am is the only time he could go to the bathroom (my supposition)
At 11:07 – 11:08 am Stacey Ruggles called him back
At around 11:17 am Murray typed a message to the insurer Bob Taylor and sent it out
At 11:18 – 11:49 am Murray called his Las Vegas practice. The call lasted 32 minutes.
At 11:49 -11:51 am Murray sent a 3 min long voicemail to his patient Robert Russell
At 11:51 – 12:01 Murray called his girl friend Sade Alding. After 5 or 6 minutes she realized that Murray was not responding. She heard a cough and mumbling of voices (and not Murray’s yelling as in this program).
At 12:12 pm Murray typed a message to Michael Amir Williams, assistant to Michael Jackson “Please call me right away”.
At 12:13 Williams called him back. “Where are you?” asked Murray. Williams: “I am in downtown”. Murray: “Get here right away. He had a bad reaction!”
At 12:22 a bodyguard finally called 911 and 4 minutes later the paramedics arrived at the scene of the crime.

Not only didn’t Conrad Murray call 911 himself but he didn’t allow Alberto Alvarez to do it either.
First he instructed him to collect the vials of Propofol and other stuff into a bag and only then told him to call 911.
Operator: Ok ok, how old is he?
Alvarez: He’s 50 years old, sir.
Operator: Ok. He’s not conscious, he’s not breathing?
Alvarez: Yes, he’s not breathing sir.
Operator: And he’s not conscious either?
Alvarez: No, he’s not conscious sir.
Operator: Ok. Alright, is he on the floor, where’s he at right now?
Alvarez: He’s on the bed sir, he’s on the bed.
Operator: Ok let’s get him on the floor.
[‘Murray’ is giving a sign to the ‘bodyguard’ to move him to the floor]
Alvarez: Ok.
Operator: Ok let’s get him down to the floor. I’m gonna help you with CPR right now, OK.
Alvarez: We need him… we need a…
Operator: Yes, we’re already on our way there. We’re on our way. I’m gonna do as far as I can to help you over the phone. We’re already on our way. Did anybody see him?
Alvarez: Yes we have a personal doctor here with him, sir.
Operator: Oh you have a doctor there?
Alvarez: Yes. But he’s not responding to anything to no… no… he’s not responding to the CPR or anything.
Operator: Ok. Ok. They’re on their way.
37:40 Narrator: By the time the paramedics arrive, Murray can no longer detect a pulse.

The syringe found by police was a 10ml one.
To inject 200ml of Propofol himself Michael would have had to make TWENTY syringe injections of straight Propofol or FORTY if mixed with Lidocaine.
Even technically it was IMPOSSIBLE.
And I am not even saying that Michael’s fingerprints were NOT found on IV equipment

The only thing more reckless Murray could have done was taking Jackson up in an airplane and pushing him out without a parachute.
What would have prevented Jackson’s death? A knowledgeable, conscientious physician who both watch and monitored his oxygen – at the very least – absolutely would have.IT WAS HOMICIDE.

Avete potuto constatare che la base del programma era duplice: gli elementi forniti dall’autopsia sono stati rivelati ed esaminati e, in secondo luogo, il dottor Shepherd ha fornito la sua perizia su ciò che questi elementi avrebbero potuto comportare in altre circostanze nella vita del signor Jackson.
Così, come l'autopsia ha dichiarato, il signor Jackson soffriva di artrosi e aveva notevoli danni ai polmoni tra cui cicatrici multifocali al collagene, congestione diffusa, emorragia irregolare e marcata bronchiolite respiratoria, desquamazione istiocitica e multifocale pneumonia interstiziale cronica ed altre tre patologie polmonari.
In qualsiasi modo lo guardiamo, questo dimostra le cattive condizioni di salute dei polmoni del signor Jackson.
Tuttavia, il programma ha chiarito che, oltre a problemi con i polmoni, la salute del signor Jackson era abbastanza buona per la sua età.
Nel programma, il dottor Shepherd ha ipotizzato che la causa dei danni ai polmoni di Michael Jackson fosse il lupus.
Questa era una cosa che aveva il diritto di fare e la sua teoria è stata sostenuta da prove mediche e aneddoti che sono stati chiaramente spiegati durante il programma.

Tuttavia, sarebbe stato non corretto per il programma non rivelare la scoperta di molteplici benzodiazepine nel suo corpo e i numerosi flaconi di pillole contenenti anche benzodiazepine (per uso endovenoso e orale) nella sua stanza da letto e il suo prolungato uso di Demerol e Propofol suggerisce che il signor Jackson aveva un problema con i farmaci.
Questo è stato ampiamente documentato nel processo contro il dottor Conrad Murray.
Channel 5 ritiene che la trasmissione del programma abbia rispettato interamente il codice Ofcom Broadcasting.

Ho letto l'analisi dettaglia fatta da Helena (Vindicatemj) per quanto mi fossi rifiutata di vedere lo show, è stato come purtroppo vedere.. e posso dichiararlo con assoluta certezza.
Fra l'altro ci sono anche stati già due processi ed altamente pubblici che hanno analizzato gli aspetti legati ai farmaci e dettagliatamente sin troppo.. non c'era sicuramente bisogno di Channel 5.
Bene, mi auguro che a questo punto la battaglia messa in atto sino ad ora.. diventi.. una guerra.. perchè francamente , se la sono davvero cercata.. -

Ho aggiunto alla trascrizione la descrizione di immagini dello sfondo per darvi un'idea migliore di cosa vuol dire. Quasi ogni frase qui richiede un commento, ma ho cercato di limitarmi a un minimo esauriente che è ancora molto, temo.
I commenti sono disponibili in forma di note laterali. Le note per la seconda parte della trascrizione saranno aggiunte in seguito dato che il loro potenziale è infinito e sto lottando per scegliere.
Il Dr.Richard Shepherd non è così male come gli altri partecipanti, ma ci sono un paio di domande anche su di lui.

Che cosa avrebbe impedito la morte di Jackson? Un medico esperto, coscienzioso che l'avrebbe controllato e monitorato il suo ossigeno - almeno - assolutamente avrebbe dovuto.

La causa della morte è INTOSSICAZIONE ACUTA da propofol. Un fattore contribuente la morte è l'effetto delle benzodiazepine.
La morte è per omicidio.
Le circostanze indicano che il propofol è stato somministrato da un altro.
Le circostanze non supportano l'auto-somministrazione di propofol.
