"You Are Not Alone" - Come Michael Jackson ha salvato delle vite
La citazione sopra è un estratto da una lettera accorata che Jodi ha scritto in un un messaggio a Michael per il suo 52° compleanno .L'ha pubblicata affinchè tutti la leggessero , quando i fan di MJ , gli amici e la famiglia hanno preso d'assalto Twitter per il suo compleanno , pubblicando i propri messaggi personali per MJ .
Ho trovato la sua lettera molto profonda e tempestiva, considerando il fatto che nell ultimo paio di settimane ho avuto delle conversazioni con due diverse giovani donne che affermano esattamente questo; Michael Jackson ha salvato le loro vite .
Una volta gli fu chiesto come avrebbe voluto essere ricordato . La risposta di Michael fu , " Come una persona che è venuto a portare la luce al mondo , un po ' di evasione . Anche come colui che ha dato voce ai bambini senza voce , perché li amo , vivo per i bambini Se non fosse per i bambini . , avrei gettato la spugna ".
Queste due giovani donne hanno sperimentato personalmente ciò che Michael Jackson sapeva meglio di chiunque altro ; c'è un potere di guarigione che proviene dall amore , e può salvare la vita . Lui Ha usato il suo talento nella musica e nella danza per inondare il mondo con una incredibile energia d'amore che riempiva la sua anima .

" Un giorno ero a casa da sola . Ho riempito la vasca da bagno e ha preso un grosso coltello da cucina . stavo ascoltando il suono della radio del mio vicino . Ero tranquilla , e non avevo affatto paura. Avevo visto questa scena parecchie volte nella mia testa , ma in quel preciso momento , ero calma . giacevo nella vasca da bagno . C'era una bella canzone che suonava nella casa del mio vicino , ma io non ci prestai proprio attenzione . Presi il coltello accanto a me , e stavo per tagliarmi le vene quando il brano ha suonato più forte ...
"Proprio l'altra sera , ho creduto di sentirti piangere , mi chiedevi di venire e di tenerti tra le mie braccia ...riesco a sentire le tue preghiere , sopporterò i tuoi dolori , ma prima ho bisogno della tua mano ... poi per sempre può iniziare . .."
Lasciai subito cadere il coltello , e iniziai a piangere . Non so perché, ma l'ho fatto . Questo è il motivo per cui sono ancora qui . Michael mi ha salvato la vita ; e gli sarò per sempre grata . "
Tutti noi vogliamo sapere che contiamo qualcosa , che siamo importanti per qualcuno in questo mondo , perché ci fa sentire degni di amore . Avere questa convinzione ci dà la forza interiore per crescere , non importa quello che succede .
Michael lo diceva meglio , "Se arrivi in questo mondo sapendo di essere amato e lasci questo mondo sapendo la stessa cosa, allora tutto quello che avviene nel frattempo può essere superato. Ecco come Michael Jackson ha fatto sentire queste due donne , come se fossero un oggetto degno d'amore . Ha dato loro la forza che deriva dal sapere che " tu non sei solo ".
Jodi ha continuato a scrivere nella sua lettera a Michael , " gli archivi video non potranno mai rappresentare esattamente le emozioni che tu scatenavi ogni volta che mettevi piede in pubblico o sul palco . Per queste due giovani donne , Michael era davvero un angelo . Hanno un legame molto speciale con lui ora. Entrambe sono state profondamente colpite dalla sua morte , ma sanno che sono delle sopravvissute. Sanno di essere degne di amore ; lui le ha insegnato che anche loro sono parte di una comunità globale che le ama . Ora sono loro che danno speranza e coraggio agli altri, tutto grazie all' amore di Michael Jackson .
Michael intuitivamente sapeva come far sentire amate le persone e, così facendo, ha salvato delle vite. Dovremmo tutti prendere del tempo per osservare il suo genio e aiutare qualcuno nella nostra vita che potrebbe stare attraversando un periodo difficile.

"History books will never capture the essence of your humble soul and the lives you literally saved." Jodi Gomes, Executive Producer of "JACK5ONS: A Family Dynasty" and close personal friend of MJ.
The quote above is an excerpt from a heartfelt letter Jodi wrote as a message to Michael for his 52nd birthday. She posted it for everyone to read when MJ fans, friends and family took Twitter by storm on his birthday, posting their own personal #MessagetoMJ.
I found her letter to be very profound and timely, considering within the last couple of weeks I have had conversations with two different young women who claim exactly that; Michael Jackson saved their life.
He was once asked how he would like to be remembered. Michael’s response was, "As a person who came and brought light to the world, some escapism; also as a voice for the voiceless children, because I love them. I’m living for the children. If it weren’t for the kids, I would throw in the towel."
These two young women have personally experienced what Michael Jackson knew better than most; there is a healing power that comes with love, and it can save your life. He used his talent in music and dance to shower the world with an amazing energy of love that filled his soul.
The first young woman I spoke to, told me about her painful childhood. She grew up feeling alone and insecure as a result of adults who betrayed her. She said to me: "I am one of those voiceless children. I’m telling you, if he wasn’t there, I wouldn’t still be alive today."
She recounted how she spent years looking into the eyes of adults surrounding her, trying to find a glimpse of something that would give her feelings of security and love. The eyes really are the window to the soul and she never found what she was looking for. Then she was introduced to Michael Jackson, not in person, but through his music.
"Just hearing him talking about children and how much he cared about us, made me feel I’m secure and loved and that I’m not alone," she said. A warm feeling came over her from the second she saw him, because everything that she had been looking for in all those eyes surrounding her, she found in him. He gave her strength, hope, and made her feel like she mattered.
The second young woman revealed that at age 13, she tried to commit suicide. What she was enduring in her life was just too much for the sensitive girl that she was, as she put it. She tells a chilling story about the day she decided to take her life:
"One day I was alone at home. I filled the bathtub and took a large kitchen knife. I was hearing the sound of my neighbor's radio. I was peaceful, and I was not afraid at all. I had seen this scene plenty times in my head, but at this very moment, I was just calm. I lay in the bath. There was a cool song playing at my neighbor's house, but I just did not pay attention. I took the knife next to me, and was about to cut my veins when the song played louder...
Just the other night, I thought I heard you cry, asking me to come and hold you in my arms ... I can hear your prayers, your burdens I will bear but first I need your hand...then forever can begin...
I just dropped the knife, and I started to cry. I don't know why, but I did. This is why I'm still here. Michael saved me; and I'm grateful forever."
We all want to know that we matter, that we are important to someone in this world, because it makes us feel worthy of love. Having that belief gives us inner strength to thrive no matter what happens.
Michael said it best, "If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with. A professor may degrade you, but you will not feel degraded, a boss may crush you, but you will not be crushed, a corporate gladiator might vanquish you, but you will still triumph. How could any of them truly prevail in pulling you down? For you know that you are an object worthy of love. The rest is just packaging."
That is how Michael Jackson made these two young women feel, like they are an object worthy of love. He gave them the strength that comes from knowing that "You Are Not Alone."
Jodi went on to write in her letter to Michael, "Video archives will never accurately depict the excitement you caused EVERY time you set foot in public or on stage. The best mankind can do is observe your genius and pay it forward as an example of how a true Angel walked amongst us."
For these two young women, Michael was indeed an Angel. They have a very special bond with him now. Both were deeply affected by his death, but they know they are survivors. They know they are worthy of love; he taught them that. They also know they are part of a global community that loves them back. Now they are the ones giving hope and courage to others, all because of the love of Michael Jackson.
Michael intuitively knew how to make people feel loved and in doing so, he saved lives. We should all take the time to observe his genius and pay it forward to someone in our lives that may be going through a rough time.
