.Dopo 4 anni di raccolta fondi, un fan club russo a Mosca , sta completando la loro statua su Michael Jackson.

Il progetto ha richiesto più di 4 anni, e grazie al duro lavoro dei fan che hanno raccolto per la posa iniziale 250,000 rubli (circa 3.000 sterline). La realizzazione del modello invece ha richiesto circa un anno e mezzo.
Dai disegni iniziali al modello finale, ci sarà ancora molto da fare prima che la statua trovi la sua collocazione a Mosca. Il disegno è tratto dal tour Bad .

La statua è alta circa 2 metri e con il piedistallo che verrà posizionato sotto, sarà di circa 3 mt..
Non si sa ancora dove verrà posizionata con precisione , e manca ancora dei fondi , il costo finale, senza piedistallo dovrebbe aggirarsi intorno alle 12.000 sterline. Ma non manca molto , grazie alla generosità dei fan, dovranno mettere insieme solo altre 1800 sterline ( 150.000 Rubli)

-------------RUSSIAN FANS CREATE A MICHAEL JACKSON STATUE FOR MOSCOW
After 4 years of collecting funds, a Russian fan club in Moscow is near completion of a new Michael Jackson Statue.
The announcement of the Michael Jackson Monument in Moscow came today On Their Page Facebook.
The project took over 4 years to come to this point with hard work from those fans who have managed to raise over RUR250,000 (nearly £3,000) to start this project. The modeling of the statue took 1 year and a half and you can now see the result here below.
From the initial drawings to the model now made, much more needs to be done to have this statue in bronze on a pedestal in Moscow. The design is taken from Michael Jackson Bad Tour.
You can follow the progress on the Russian Social Network HERE where all the photos, documents and reports are presented to the fans around the world.
The statue is about 2.2 meters high and the plan is to have it on a pedestal bringing the final 3.2 m statue to life.
This project was possible thanks to local fans who spent days in the street dancing to collect the money and also from donations.
The location of this statue is still to be secured and the bronzed statue still need to be made which in total will cost around RUR1 million (around £12,000) without the pedestal. So far they have managed to do and pay for the model in plasticine to be made and to finalise the Bronze they will need another RUR150,000 (around £1,800) to get this done.
The fan club is asking all the fans around the world to make a donation to make this happen!

Beh questa non è esattamente una statua.. : e lo scultore ha pure sbagliato la data di nascita di Michael, ma è comunque un tributo! 
Lo scultore Paul Wayne Gregory, esperto nell'arte delle creazioni con cioccolato, ha creato questo " Omaggio" alla star.
Per la realizzazione, ha preso un calco in lattice della forma del viso, riempiendola poi di cioccolato e procedendo poi al modellamento e filettatura completamente a mano. L'intero processo di creazione è durato 3/4 giorni, utilizzando dai 7 ai 9 kg di cioccolato.
L'espressione del volto , proviene dal calco in gesso utilizzato da Michael durante le riprese di Thriller. Originariamente di proprietà di William Forsche, è stato restaurato nel 2009 dall'scultore.

Chocolate Artist & Sculpture extraordinaire Paul Wayne Gregory delicately completing a 'chocolate' tribute to Michael. He has Michael's date of birth wrong but nevermind! so please not too many comments about this error please, thanks.
A latex cast of a face is taken, which is then filled with chocolate to form a mold, which is then again filled with chocolate. The final chocolate casting is then completed with smoothing, adding and defining features etc., The whole process can take 3/4 days and uses 7/9 kilos of chocolate, the final piece is solid chocolate.
The face effect is taken from the plaster life casting used in Michael's 'Thriller' which was originally owned by William Forsche and restored by him in 2009,
In 2009, Paul opened his London based company Paul Wayne Gregory Ltd specialising in designing and supplying bespoke centre displays, sculptures and unique hand crafted chocolates for any event.
